Podrače Beach: A Complete Guide
Podrače is Punta Rata's smaller, more intimate neighbour, and many guests end up loving it even more. This turquoise cove in Brela is one of the most visited and photographed beaches in Croatia, and it is easy to see why the moment you arrive.
The Beach at a Glance
Podrače is a small-pebble beach tucked between rocks and greenery, with water that glows turquoise on sunny days. It gained international attention when the European Parliament highlighted it as a top summer holiday recommendation, and European Best Destinations has also featured it. The rock that embraces the cove has a story too: long ago, locals collected sea salt from shallow pools on its top, where seawater evaporated in the sun.
Best Time to Visit
Come early in the morning or later in the afternoon for the calmest atmosphere. In July and August the cove fills up by late morning.

Facilities & Amenities
Podrače has deck chairs and parasols, a shower, toilets, a café bar and small stands selling beach essentials, so you can comfortably spend the whole day.
Activities & Water Sports
This is a swimming and snorkelling beach: clear water, a rocky frame and plenty to look at under the surface. Punta Rata's promenade is right next door for a walk.

Exploring the Surroundings
Walk a few minutes to Punta Rata and the Brela Stone, or follow the coastal promenade under the pines towards Soline and the centre of Brela.
Practical Tips for Your Visit
Water shoes help on the rocks at the edges of the cove. The closest car parks are at Jakiruša, about 2 km away (see the quick facts). They fill up quickly in summer, so walking from your villa is often easier.
