Dole Beach: A Complete Guide

In the southern part of the Makarska Riviera, about 25 kilometres from Makarska towards Dubrovnik, Dole is a relaxed pebble beach in front of Autocamp Dole in Živogošće. Pine shade, clear sea and a laid-back holiday atmosphere make it a good stop when exploring the southern Riviera.

The Beach at a Glance

Dole is a pebbly beach with natural shade and crystal-clear water. It is an officially monitored bathing site and was rated excellent for water quality in 2025.

Facilities & Amenities

The camp beside the beach has a snack bar, a supermarket, shops selling beach items and fast food. These are open to all visitors, not only camp guests. Pekara Jadran bakery, a Plus market and Restaurant Bili Kuk are close by. Loungers can be hired, and there are showers on the beach.

Exploring the Surroundings

Velika Duba and Mala Duba are a short drive north, and Drvenik, with its ferry to Sućuraj on Hvar, is further south.

Practical Tips for Your Visit

The beach is open to everyone, and visitors who are not staying at the camp can also park in the campsite's car park. Bring water shoes and shade.

Where to Stay Nearby

There is no Makarska Exklusiv home right next to Dole Beach. The closest are VillaSvilla and Villa Adriatic Beachfront, about a 16-minute drive away, and a good base if you plan to explore the southern Riviera by car.
